Two new Rift Beacons appeared inside Paradise Palms and outside of Polar Peak, which may result in the return of classic POIs in Fortnite Battle Royale.
Instead of large map updates, Fortnite Season 10 has had several small map changes focused around specific POIs thanks to Rift Beacons. Within a few days of appearing a Rift Beacon, a POI update is usually implemented.
Retail Row’s return, a no-build Tilted Town, and a Borderlands-themed area within the desert have been recently added to the game, thanks to Rift Beacons.
Players were excited when they noticed that two new Rift Beacons popped up on September 5th, which might bring the fan-favorite POI’s back into Fortnite.
Are Greasy Grove and Moisty Mire returning?
On September 5, fans noticed a Rift Beacon beaming bright on the ice outside of Polar Peak, where Greasy Grove used to stand, along with Paradise Palms.
Will Paradise Palms see a design change like the return of Moisty Mire or Neo Tilted’s switch from futuristic to a Wild West theme?
The last Rift Beacon was able to bring the Fortnite x Mayhem Borderlands crossover event when it was activated outside the Truck ‘N’ Oasis stop in the desert biome.
A potential IT Chapter Two crossover might be another event coming as players have been able to find red balloons all over Pleasant Park.
Until around September 10, the next update for Fortnite isn’t expected to take place, so stay tuned with us to know more when Epic announces the v10.30 update.Leave a comment
