Indie Games Set in the Fairy Tail Universe! Three years after Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima announced a call for independent developers to create games based on his beloved series, the Fairy Tail Indie Game Guild project is finally taking off! Kodansha Creators’ Lab has officially revealed two new Fairy Tail-inspired indie games, both launching on Steam in the coming weeks.
What’s Coming? The first two games in the Fairy Tail Indie Game Guild project are:
-
Fairy Tail: Dungeons – A single-player, deck-building roguelike that’s set to release on August 27 in Japan. Get ready to explore dungeons, collect powerful cards, and fight your way through a magical roguelike adventure.
-
Fairy Tail: Beach Volleyball Havoc – A battle game featuring 32 playable characters from the Fairy Tail series, scheduled for release on September 17. The game supports up to four players locally or via Remote Play Together, and promises chaotic, magic-fueled volleyball action!
Both titles will be available in multiple languages, including Japanese, English, French, Thai, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), and Korean. Pricing details are still under wraps, but the wait is almost over!
More on the Horizon Additionally, a third title was teased: Fairy Tail: Birth of Magic (tentative title), a “magic creation action” game supporting up to two players, developed by Pop. While few details are available, it’s expected to release on Steam in the near future.
The Guild’s Adventure Continues As the indie game world expands into the Fairy Tail universe, fans have a lot to look forward to, from roguelike dungeons to chaotic volleyball matches. And with more games likely on the way, the magic of Fairy Tail is sure to continue enchanting players.
More Fairy Tail Fun For those following the anime, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, where Natsu, Lucy, and the gang are tackling the toughest challenge yet—the legendary 100 Years Quest.
