Byte Breakers Is Here! (Well, Almost) Odyssey Interactive, the team behind Omega Strikers, just announced their next wild experiment – Byte Breakers, a 40-player platform fighting battle royale for PC, launching its first North American playtest on September 13. But hold on – they’re calling it a prototype and admitting it might not even get a full release. So, if you’re eager to see what this mashup of platform fighting and battle royale has to offer, now’s your chance!

What Is Byte Breakers? Imagine navigating a massive city, gathering powerful gear, and fighting to be the last duo standing, all while avoiding the ever-shrinking glitch zone. You’ll need to team up with a friend, outplay 38 other players, and smash your way to victory using all kinds of ridiculous abilities.

Key Features

  • Massively Multiplayer Platform Brawling: Team up with a buddy and dive into 40-player lobbies, using insane abilities to launch your enemies into walls at breakneck speeds.

  • Game-Breaking Abilities: Divebomb from ridiculous heights, crush enemies below, and collect hacks like turning your shield into a meaty death ball (yes, really).

  • Help Your Homies: Got a downed teammate? Carry their lifeless body to a respawn beacon and get them back in the fight. Or teleport to them with wallhack TP abilities when they’re in a pinch.

No In-Game Purchases (For Now) In this prototype version, there are no in-game purchases, though future content may end up in the store if the game makes it beyond the testing phase.

Why Playtest Now? This might be your only shot to experience Byte Breakers – and since even the devs aren’t sure if this game will stick around, it’s time to jump in while you can! Plus, there’s something satisfying about smashing your opponents at 95mph while dodging a glitch-filled death zone.

Ready to join the madness? The playtest kicks off on September 13 in North America, so grab a friend and get ready to break some bytes!
